Weekend Blues

Or maybe “purples”…  I was quite out of it this weekend, tired, dizzy, with no energy.  Fortunately, our fairy godmother Ludy took care of us with a whole dinner (already cooked) including dessert! We didn’t even have to ask, and there she came with her magic wand… She knew we needed her!

Also, our team won over Mexico.  Guido is right — I should not be so much into these games, as that is exactly what they are –games. Nationalism carried to extremes is dangerous.  How many remember the time of “America, love it or leave it”?

So, on to other, more important matters:  blood and adrenal and melatonin tests for me; doctors’ appointments for Guido.  Results later, so we should not be too impatient.  Of course, everybody knows I am.

It got late, and I am caught in the middle of posting something, but it will have to be the end.  Not much else is new anyway!

About martisima

After over 50 years of teaching literature to undergraduate and graduate students, I feel I have earned my retirement (it happened when I was 72, five years ago). I do miss the classroom, however, but not the meetings and all other requirements of the profession. I love teaching, and wish I could still do it. But now I read for pleasure, and watch films, and listen to all kinds of music (no TV, though). I love to travel, and hope I can resume doing it soon. I need to get over my health issues caused by thyroid surgery three years ago!
